Man, gaming orgy this weekend. Four fucking Playstation 2s, 2 Gamecubes, and 1 X-Box later, and we’re set for some MASS GAMAGE for the weekend. Below is what we did, as per usual.
Samurai Warriors 2
Got through a stage with Ieyasu Tokugawa in this game, didn’t do much else though. He leveled thrice, acquired some new skills. I was hoping to play this more, but meh….
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Ah, the flagship of the weekend. As usual, I used Messatsu Gou Hadou Gouki.My best friend Clyde has decided to start playing Rest for the Virgin Remy. Yes, Remy is a french emo, and all his supers have fucked up names like that, but regardless…
Pressure Gouki, which as I use Messatsu Gou Hadou is the style I play, works against turtling characters such as Remy quite well, so I managed to press through and get him good most of the time! Other people used characters such as Shin Shoryuken Ryu, which personally is my largest threat as with Ryu being strong enough as is, his Heavy Kicks takes off around a third in itself, so imagine what happens with Shin hits, eh? Also, there was a Ken user whom mixed his SAs up a bit. Was fun playing against a standard shoto. Ibuki player caught me hardcore, she’s fast and plays pressure as well, however the user was a little slow and allowed me to simply KKK teleport around him into Air Hadou, in which the combo goes from there, which is.

Connecting that last his of the bread and butter is a bitch, but if it works, MASS damage. Normally I just opt for a Heavy Tatsu instead and work with that. Alternatively, I’ll simply link the Crouching M. into a Shun-Goku-Satsu, but people are getting wise on that and fast.
Was also a Yang player, whom uses that V-ism style Super Art. A bitch once he cornered me, but passable as long as PPP teleport was an option to stay out of the way and play air control.
All in all, SF3 was what we played the most! That’s always the case…
To the point where after the gaming session at a friends, what do Clyde and I do? Go to the Arcade and play EVEN MORE SF3..Man I love that game. And I’ve only got into it very recently!
Street Fighter EX 3
Next SF, EX3. A few of the people there were new to this, I was really the only person that had played EX a crapload, bar one other person. We’d do 5-on-5 team battles..Whom did I use again, ah.

Sagat is to be FEARED in EX3, although his Tiger Blow is really slow, like all Aerial-super moves are in EX. Characters float, and one needs to prepare to compensate for that. Meh, at least I got to Secret Skullo Dream a lot. EAT SKULLO! EAT!
Street Fighter Alpha Anthology
Played some Alpha 3 and Pocket Fighters. Gouki user in both cases, and some Sagat in Alpha 3. Crouching Heavy Punches with Sagat are to be feared, the range on them is MEAN, and it can be linked into Tiger Cross from there, which you can then spam to gain super. A-ism is the way to go though, as X-ism has no Tiger Cross, and the Tiger Blow becomes a simple 3 hit Tiger Uppercut with a MUCH smaller arc, not as good. Gouki owns as per usual. Shun Goku Satsu in Pocket Fighters is funny, as you do actually get to see some of the move. Dan’s version came out a few times, but not once did it connect. Ah, well. Go Hibiki sits out this time I guess.

Ah, CvS2..How I love this game! Played on GCN and got smooshed, then came back on the PS2, as we have many arcade sticks at these meets.

I just love that team, Hinata is WAY more powerful than Sakura, and if one pays attention to Street Fighter canon, in the possible future Rival Schools, Hinata becomes Ryu’s student, which as one would expect sends Sakura crazy. Wonder what happens to Sak’s old rival, Karin?

And the rumours of a Justice remake…OH MY GOD I hope it’s true. I’m a Rival Schools MASS fanboy, shall always have deep respect for that game!
But yes, was a Tardy Counter fest with me and the Ken user, as both him and one other person had that game as well. Hideo users..Like I used to be until I found the glory that is Hinata-sama. Kyosuke has the meanest Tardy Counters, as his fireball Burning Vigor attack is one to be FEARED! Mainly due to the virtually instant cast, somewhat like Shoma’s BV Fireball attack. Compare it to Batsu’s and Hideo’s, which are lagged by around half a second, so a light can get them out of it. Same with Kyo/Sho, but a LOT less timing, mainly so a Tardy BV can get through. Hinata also has the GUTS UP Team-Up Attack, so running out of BV Meter is never a problem! Played a LOT of this over the night…Almost as much as SF3. Man I can’t wait to get my Dreamcast fixed…
Guilty Gear XX #Slash
My Slayer is shit, he needs work, same with my Axl and Sol. My Chipp is still good though. However, I have become a failure at GG, hardcore. It’s the one fighter I simply cannot pick up. Think I’ll drop my Sol and work on Axl more, as countering is fun! I’ll beat them all someday. Nevertheless, the fights I watched were intense! Chipp ftw. ALPHA BLADE…O!
Tekken 5
Got owned by the guy that owns a T5 stick, obviously, damn him and his Baek. I can only beat him when we go Kazuya VS Kazuya. I generally play Yoshi, but occasionally Kaz/D-Jin/Lee/Bryan also. At least I can still play my pressure Kazuya game.

Guitar Hero TWO?!?
I wish that torrent of that DEMO (Legal, folks!) would finish downloading…So damn long. Was meant to have Guitar Hero 1 there, so I could play some Batm and CFH on Expert, however as mine’s still out of commission, and Trigger’s wasn’t there, it didn’t happen…Shame.

Man Kim fails in this game…The nerfed him SO BAD. Now you gotta play some kind of spastic rush, KIM ISN’T RUSH! My Ryo is fucked also, I had to rely on Yuri for crying out loud, and I normally don’t even use her. Robert wasn’t unlocked, I guess…
KOF XI is VERY balanced though, which I do like. I wants it, but with KOF MI:2 coming out here soon, I should save for that. Fio is broken in that though, mind you..aka Heavy Machine Gun –> Twin Heavy Machine Gun. She suffers from hardcore MvC2 Cable Syndrome.
