Fury Hands-on Part 1: Raging against Fury

Whoever created the ‘Auran Patcher’ for Fury definitely hates me. I’ve reinstalled the game twice now because the patcher has not worked correctly on the retail DVD install of the game. Definitely not a good start for what’s looking like a shaky game.

I’m going to redownload the full client tonight, and hopefully that will resolve my issues.

Intro (revised)

I’m a peculiar sort of gamer. I guess I’d fall under the ‘casual’ category since I play very little, however I follow the industry a great deal through gaming sites and blogs, such as PALGN and Kotaku. I’m what you’d call a readist gamer - someone who spends far too much time reading about games instead of actually playing them. (if there’s no such word, consider it made)

But I’ve recently managed to gain quite a bit of free time (albeit, it will all end early next year), so I’ve decided to start blogging again. Thanks to PALGN and Auran, I’ve got a copy of Fury that I might give a whirl, and I’m planning to get a few other titles that I might end up writing about. (including Crysis, The Orange Box and Call of Duty 4)

This is a blog that I now have a direction for. Updates will probably be irregular, but there will be content this time. :)
