Here we go…

Ok, here is my aim. For a while now I have been collecting retro video games from various places. Some I have kept from when I was younger, some are finds from cash converters and garage sales, and more recently my biggest source has been ebay (as I am usually too lazy to go out into the real world and hunt for them these days).

Since I discovered how much is available on ebay I have always wondered what a particular game is worth. The most obvious answer is whatever someone is willing to pay for it, so that is what I have been trying to keep track of. I am consistantly supprised by some of the prices things sell for, some games sell for huge amounts of money on one day and a few months later the same game may sell for much less. Did the first person get ripped off? Or did the second get the bargin of a lifetime?

Anyway, when I find the time I have been trying to keep a spreadsheet listing games that have sold on ebay, the condition and how much they sold for. This has helped me to decide how much I may want to fork out for a particular game in the past so I thought I might as well share the knowledge.

I am in the process of setting up a shared spreadsheet on Google so that other people can check it out. If you want to have a look just give me your email (not sure if it has to be a gmail or not) and I will add you to the list of people that can view it.

If this kind of thing is of any interest to you let me know.
